The Grandeur of the Qing Dynasty hits Regional Victoria
Enter a world of mystery and grandeur through a virtual tour of the National Gallery of Victoria's Dressed to Rule exhibition and its accompanying workshop, Decoding the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition includes exquisite textiles and accessories from the Qing (pure and clear) Dynasty (1644-1911).
Drawing on ancient Chinese mythology, the cosmos, philosophy and nature, students will be inspired to design and create a miniature robe reflecting the traditional symbols and decorative motifs. There is also a very special offer available from the Foreign Language Bookshop for all schools who book this program (see below)
Decoding the Qing Dynasty is available in regional Victoria only between 20 and 22 April, as well as 7 to 9 September 2010.
