Circus Oz was born in Melbourne in 1978, and although the company is now over 30 years old, it still has all the energy and enthusiasm of a pre-teen on holiday with a bag of mixed lollies. Performed under the heated big top in Birrarung Marr, From the Ground Up is peppered with breathtaking feats and provides serious fun for audiences of all ages. Take a trip to the unforgiving Arctic without leaving Melbourne. Head to IMAX Melbourne Museum, where you'll be able to follow the journey of a polar bear family's quest for survival. To the Arctic 3D brings you up close to these animals as they struggle to eke out a living in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls and snow-bound peaks.

Just in time for the school holidays, Cooks’ Cottage has developed a compass trail adventure for children of all ages. The kids will receive their very own compass so they can explore the cottage and gardens of Captain Cook's family and learn to navigate their way around, just like Captain Cook did when he circumnavigated the globe.

Melbourne has always had its own sense of style, so it’s no surprise that self-taught designer Haim Bzezinski would start his own label to reflect the city's unique aesthetic. Israel-born Bzezinski remains committed to local production, supporting local industry and confirming his belief that making pieces in Australia leads to better quality garments. Look out for Dizingof at Albert Coates Lane, QV and Harbour Town, Docklands.
